{"id":214,"date":"2015-01-15T19:52:32","date_gmt":"2015-01-15T19:52:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/evaluation.osar.us\/?page_id=214"},"modified":"2015-01-15T19:52:32","modified_gmt":"2015-01-15T19:52:32","slug":"presenter-of-workshop","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/evaluation.osar.us\/?page_id=214","title":{"rendered":"Presenter of Workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The summer of 2014 I created and implemented a 2 week course for 7th and 8th grade students. \u00a0I taught students the skills of basic computer programming through SCRATCH.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #322f31;\">With Scratch, you can program your own interactive stories, games, and animations \u2014 and share your creations with others in the online community.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #322f31;\">Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively \u2014 essential skills for life in the 21st century.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #322f31;\">I found this activity during the summer extremely exciting. \u00a0Not only did students learn but I\u00a0grew professionally also.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #322f31;\">I hope to do another type of summer lesson again in 2015.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #322f31;\">\n<p style=\"color: #322f31;\">Scratch is a project of the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab.
