This year the math department has changed their retake policy.  This has been an evolving process.  We came up with the retake policy and we have all varied our different retake sheets.  We have agreed that if a student is to do a retake then all of the homework assigned must be done.  This prevents students from taking short cuts and trying to “just get by”.  We strive for true learning to be occurring.

I have been surprised that more students do not want to retake tests and quizzes.  When they do do a retake, I have seen improvement almost every time.
